Season intakes: September, January, March, June
Our High School group is designed for athletes aged 14 – 18. This group will prepare athletes to excel at the regional, provincial, and national level. The High School Group season runs September to July. They will be expected to train 3-5 days a week depending on which phase of training the athlete is in and the goals they have. Days may vary based on event that the athlete is training for.
During this time athletes may compete in 1 or 2 indoor meets in Washington or Richmond. These competitions will be considered for practice and experience purposes only. In the early spring the coaches will be focused on very specific and individual workouts and getting early competition experience. The main competitive season begins in April and continues through the school meets and then the main club meets, culminating with club championships in July.

Competitions
Competitions are held on weekends. They vary from 1 to 2.5 day competitions. Athletes are encouraged to participate in as many meets as they wish. Parents can tailor their child’s schedule as they wish as they need not participate in all competitions, and need not participate in all events on all days. Most competitions are local and held in the Lower Mainland. At times the provincial championships are held outside the Lower Mainland so travel is required.
The Langley Mustangs supports its JD athletes and will have coaching at designated meets listed below:
