Shane is currently the Trinity Western University Head Coach. He founded the TWU program & was previously the TWU Head Coach from 1997 to 2002 as well as a past Head Coach of the Langley Mustangs from 1998 – 2002. He has also spent the past few years as a coach with Kamloops Track & Field Club. He has his NCCP Level 3 Track & Field Certification.
Shane was an outstanding athlete. At the 1998 Youth Legion National Championship he won a national championship Gold Medal and set a new Canadian U18 record in the javelin throw, as well as earning a silver medal in the shot put. Shane went on to compete in the Decathlon event.
Shane will be overseeing the programming for the multi-events athletes as well as working with throwers & hurdlers. Head Coach Andrew Lenton is excited to have Shane back as part of the Mustangs coaching team, “Shane will provide planning for our stable of multi-events athletes, as well as expertise in the throws area. He will also assist with the sprint hurdlers.”
