Redshirt Freshman, Georgia Ellenwood collected first-team All-America honors in the women's pentathlon, at the NCAA Division 1 National Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ellenwood took eighth with a score of 4,184 points. It marks the sixth-straight season University of Wisconsin has had a first-team All-American in the event.
The Langley, British Columbia, native began the series of five events with a time of 8.83 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles. She then went on to clear 1.74m in the high jump and record a heave of 11.58m in the shot put. She soared 6.02m in the long jump,the first time she'd broken the 6 meter barrier. She finished up the five-event discipline with a time of 2:18.33 in the 800 meters.
Ellenwood's marks in both the long jump and the 800 meters were personal bests.
Kendall Williams of Georgia won the pentathlon with a NCAA-meet record score of 4,678 points.
