A note regarding the
BC Athletic Top Performance Award (Junior Development age group):

An athlete (9-12 years) in the Junior Development age group is recommended to compete in three BC Athletic sanctioned meets and one championship meet. They are also recommended to compete in a run, jump and throw event at any approved meet. Should a BC top performance be attained, (and these requirements are met) it will enable them to be eligible for a BC Athletic Top Performance award. Athletes 13-14 may specialize in the event of their choice but must still compete in three BCA sanctioned meets and one championship meet in order to obtain this award, (providing again that they meet qualifying standards).
