Langley Mustangs host Fraser Valley High Jump Classic July 2 5:30 PM

Ocean's Athletics (Doug Vicic), South Fraser's (Len Van Ryswyk) and Langley Mustang's (Kevin Harrison & Kim Chapdelaine) are partnering together to add a High Jump Meet to the 2009 Track Schedule.

Thursday July 2nd, 5:30 PM Langley Mustangs will be hosting an open High Jump meet centred around athletes preparing for the BC Championships, the Canadian Legion Youth T&F Championships and Canadian Junior Track Championships. The meet will be held at Neil McLeod Athletic Park (MAP) located at the corner of 56th Ave and 216th Street, beside Langley Senior Secondary (LSS) School.

As well, selected JD top athletes with minimum PB's 1.40 (women) and 1.60 (men) will be invited to participate in the "Fraser Valley High Jump Classic".

It will be an open meet, meaning athletes of any age will be competing both a single men's and women's event. Women will jump at 5:30 pm, followed up by the Men at approximatley 6:45 pm.

The meet will be sanctioned by BC Athletics and officiated by BC athletics officials allowing results to be officially recognized.

Starting height for the women will be 1.35 for the men 1.50.
