The Langley Mustangs
entire track and field club competed on the May 1st weekend. It was the first
meet of the season for the Junior Development group which ranges in ages from
9yrs -13yrs old. The athletes braved the cold, wind and rain at the Norwesters Elementary Meet held in

The high school athletes
competed at the Valley Royals meet in Abbotsford on Saturday May 1st. Some personal bests were held early in the year for a few
of our athletes. Jacob Houlton (15) won both the shot put with a throw of
14.15m and the high jump at 1.75 m. Keelee Miller (16) showed off her pole
vaulting skills with a second place finish and personal best of 2.60m. Both
Georgia Ellenwood (15) and Braedon Dolfo (16) peaked in long jump with first
place results. Ellenwood jumped 5.42m and Dolfo 6.09m. He now holds the
Canadian record for long jump for the visually impaired .
